“What I wanted to do was never done,” he explained about action and adventure films. Brendan Fraser says that although he feels proud of the third film, he will now do what he really wants.
“But what I wanted to do is coming. And I waited 20 years for that call. Sometimes it was loud, sometimes it was like a weak telegram. Now? It’s time to give fans what they want,” he stated.

The actor, who played adventurer Rick O’Connell, reunited with some original cast members in July at Fan Expo Denver.
Among them were Patricia Velásquez, John Hannah and Oded Fehr. Although Rachel Weisz and Arnold Vosloo were not on stage, Weisz is reportedly in negotiations to join the fourth film, according to Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter.
Aside from Brendan Fraser’s involvement, not many confirmed details about the sequel have been revealed. According to People, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are expected to direct the film.
