“From 10 to 20 years old was the hardest decade of my life. I made many mistakes. I had to rebuild myself. It was a mess of the worst kind. It’s my favorite decade,” she explained.
She added that it wasn’t the only challenging period she went through, but that the struggles she faced inspired her to value time: “I spent a decade dedicated to self-improvement, self-awareness, and radical changes,” said Barrymore.
“And then all that work made me think: ‘My God, time is our most precious asset.’”
