Chris Hemsworth returns for the second season of his show “Limitless“, ready to face new challenges after discovering his risk of developing Alzheimer’s.
During the first season of his show on National Geographic, Chris Hemsworth faced extreme challenges and learned that he has a genetic predisposition to Alzheimer’s.
Now, the Marvel star enters the second round of “Limitless“, ready to find ways to live a healthier and happier life.
In an interview with LadBible, the 41-year-old actor revealed that the series deeply impacted him, especially after learning of his risk for a brain disorder. According to Hemsworth, he became “extremely aware of the danger of stress” in the body, but particularly in the brain.
“There’s good stress, which is when you push yourself out of your comfort zone, which is intermittent, and then there’s a kind of continuous release of cortisol, which is negative,” he said.
“Being in that fight or flight state, which in the modern world we tend to find ourselves in quite often, and for prolonged periods,” he explained.
For Hemsworth, who decided to take a break from acting after the first season of “Limitless“, it’s important to find a balance between daily tasks, the things we love, and managing stress at the same time.
“It’s really about balancing important relationships and life experiences and making sure they have purpose,” said the actor. “So, I think the most important thing was that I kind of took a step back from the kind of journey I was on, where I felt like I wasn’t in control, I was just being dragged along.”
“Limitless: Live Better Now” from National Geographic will be available on Disney+ starting August 15.
