Dean Cain described the flying and stunt scenes in “Lois & Clark” as a true physical marathon.

In a recent interview with Variety magazine, Dean Cain talked about his experiences on the Superman series that aired from 1993 to 1997 on ABC.

“There’s no circulation in the legs. After hanging for hours, I needed a massage just to get the blood flowing from one quadrant to another,” the actor recalled.

“Teri cried. She was in tears every time we had to fly, because it hurt,” Dean Cain commented about his co-star.

The 58-year-old star also remembered the moment he had to wear the costume for the first time.

“It was a royal blue spandex jumpsuit. Later, we added straps on the feet so it wouldn’t slip out of place. And the boots were all tied up in the beginning,” he said, adding that sweating inside the suit was prohibited.

“If you sweat, the sweat accumulates. So I didn’t sweat. I’m a Japanese guy. I don’t sweat much. I don’t have hair. They didn’t even have to shave my chest,” Dean Cain joked.

“Overall, it was amazing. Really amazing. What a way to start a career,” he concluded.

He and Teri Hatcher also made special appearances in Superman series such as “Smallville” and “Supergirl” from 2015.

Dean played the immortal doctor Dr. Curtis Knox in “Smallville” and was the adoptive father of Supergirl. Teri played Lois Lane’s mother in seasons 4 and 10 of “Smallville.”
