In a new interview with The Guardian, Jamie Lee Curtis criticized Hollywood’s obsession with plastic surgery. According to the 66-year-old actress, aesthetic procedures are disfiguring generations of women.

“The concept that you can alter your appearance through chemicals, surgical procedures, and fillers, there is a disfigurement of generations, predominantly women, who are altering their appearance,” she said.

The star of “Freaky Friday” also condemned the use of filters and AI on social media: “It’s assisted and encouraged by AI, because now the filtered face is what people want,” she commented.

“I’m not filtered right now. The minute I apply a filter and you see the before and after, it’s hard not to say, ‘Oh, that looks better.’ But what is better? Better is fake.”

However, Curtis made it clear that she doesn’t judge her Hollywood colleagues who chose to undergo plastic surgery, even though she herself admitted to having had one at 25.

“I would never say a word. I would never say to someone: what did you do? I just know it’s an endless cycle. That’s what I know. Once you start, you can’t stop. But it’s not my job to give my opinion; it’s none of my business,” she said.
