Rebecca Romijn returns as Mystique from the X-Men in “Avengers: Doomsday,” premiering in 2026. Meanwhile, she is filming new episodes for the series “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.”

During the “Star Trek Universe” panel at Hall H of San Diego Comic-Con, Romijn was asked how she manages to film both projects simultaneously.

“It’s surreal and overwhelming. I’m so grateful to this production for coordinating with the other so I could participate in both. It’s been very exciting — and involved a lot of time on airplanes,” she replied.

Samantha Highfill from Entertainment Weekly asked whether Rebecca Romijn would be wearing a Mystique costume instead of the prosthetics and body paint used in the early 2000s X-Men movie trilogy.

“I can neither confirm nor deny anything at all,” Romijn said. She’ll once again appear alongside fellow X-Men cast members such as Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, James Marsden, and Kelsey Grammer.

The movie will also feature the return of Robert Downey Jr. as the villain Doctor Victor Von Doom.
