The actor who played the character Ron Weasley in the “Harry Potter” franchise, Rupert Grint, stated in an interview that he would return to the role under two conditions.

Rupert Grint, 34, became famous for portraying Ron Weasley alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson in “Harry Potter”. The actor admitted he would return to the franchise under two conditions.

Grint last appeared as Potter’s best friend in 2011 in the film “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2”. He debuted in the film series at the age of 11.

The cast reunited in 2021 for an HBO special celebrating the 10th anniversary of the saga’s start, further fueling fans’ dreams of a reunion on screen with their beloved characters.

While promoting the film “Knock at the Cabin” in January 2023, Rupert Grint was asked on the show This Morning about a potential return to the Harry Potter universe.

“I think if the time was right and everyone came back. It was an important character for me, we kind of became the same person. I have a special affection for him. It was my entire childhood,” he commented.

He said Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe would also need to return, along with other actors like Tom Felton and Helena Bonham Carter.

Radcliffe said in 2023 that a return to the franchise wasn’t very likely.

“So, I’m definitely not seeking that in any way. But of course, I wish them all the best and I’m excited to see this new phase,” he explained.
