The cause of death of Tyler Christopher, star of “General Hospital,” was revealed nearly three months after he was found dead in his apartment in San Diego.
According to the report from the Medical Examiner’s Office, Christopher died at the age of 50 from positional asphyxia due to acute alcohol intoxication, meaning he suffocated from the position he was in while intoxicated.
Coronary artery atherosclerosis, which is the buildup of plaques within the arteries, was listed as a contributing factor. His death was deemed accidental.
