FIFA has confirmed that Justin Bieber will be part of the first halftime show in the history of a World Cup final.

The Canadian singer joins Madonna, Shakira and South Korean group BTS as one of the main acts in the performance, which will take place on July 19 at New York New Jersey Stadium, formerly known as MetLife Stadium.

Produced in partnership with the organization Global Citizen and curated by Chris Martin, lead singer of Coldplay, the 11-minute show will follow a format inspired by the traditional Super Bowl halftime show.

In addition to the four main artists, performances by Burna Boy, conductor Gustavo Dudamel, the PS22 Chorus and Coldplay have also been confirmed, along with special appearances by characters from Sesame Street and the Muppets.

According to FIFA, the event will also serve a charitable purpose by supporting the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative that aims to raise US$100 million to expand children’s access to education and football in different parts of the world.
