Two Argentine YouTubers are facing criminal charges in the United States after allegedly trying to enter without tickets the match between Portugal and Colombia at the 2026 World Cup, held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, Beni Marmol, 20, and Pato Perrotta, 26, used expired press credentials to pass through three layers of security before being approached by authorities.
During questioning, Marmol said he intended to enter the stadium to livestream the match, while Perrotta said he had been hired by a media company to cover the event but was using a credential from a previous game.

The pair were arrested and charged with interference with a sporting or entertainment event, a third-degree felony in Florida. If convicted, the influencers could face up to five years in prison, as well as a fine of up to US$5,000.
The manager of the two, Walter Costabel, told the Argentine press that both have already been released after posting bail. According to him, they will not be deported, but they are prohibited from approaching stadiums hosting World Cup matches while the tournament is underway.

The case comes amid reinforced security measures adopted by FIFA and American authorities following the problems reported during the 2024 Copa América final, when hundreds of fans tried to enter the same stadium without tickets, causing delays and disturbances.
