John Cena surprised fans by appearing completely bald as he prepared to undergo a second hair transplant.
The new look was shared by the actor himself on social media, in a photo in which he appears alongside doctor Ken Anderson, who is responsible for the procedure.
In the post, the actor explained that he decided to shave his head completely to get the “best results possible” from the new surgery.
“Round two of the FUE treatment and, this time, I went all in to get the best results possible,” Cena wrote, thanking the medical team assisting him.
The star had already revealed that he underwent his first hair transplant in November 2024, after years of dealing with comments about hair loss.

In an interview given last year, Cena said he decided to seek treatment after fans began displaying signs calling him “bald John Cena” during WWE events.
“While I was trying to hide the hair loss, the audience was highlighting it. They made me look into what my options were,” he said at the time. Since then, he has adopted a care routine that includes red light therapy, minoxidil, vitamins and specific hair products, in addition to the hair transplant.
Cena has also said that the procedure “completely changed the course” of his life and could expand his opportunities in Hollywood, allowing him to play a wider variety of characters.
Despite being satisfied with the results, he said the post-operative period of the first surgery included swelling in his head, a side effect he humorously described as giving him an “alien head” appearance.
“It’s surgery, right? And having been through many surgeries, the first 14 days are the most important. You can’t get it wet, they are open wounds, your head swells, so your skull looks different. But I didn’t care,” he told TMZ.
