Eddie Murphy will star in “Donkey,” a Shrek spin-off that will tell the origin story of the wisecracking, talkative character voiced by the comedian.
The iconic actor has voiced Donkey since the original animated film was released in 2001 and will return to the role in “Shrek 5,” which premieres on June 30, 2027.
