During a recent interview with Fox News, Donald Trump suggested that the United States should not have gotten involved in a war with Iran.
“You see what happened with Iraq. We did so badly. It was such a foolish thing that we did. By the way, we shouldn’t have been there in the first place,” the American president explained.
“We shouldn’t have been in Iran, but Iran has the capability. If we hadn’t hit them with B-2 bombers nine months ago, they would have a nuclear weapon now and it would be a totally different story.”
“You probably wouldn’t have had Israel, but you probably wouldn’t have had a Middle East, and then where do they go from there?” Trump added.
The statement quickly became the target of criticism on social media. “Someone please shut him up,” one X user wrote. “We told you, you idiot,” another said. “I hate this administration so much,” admitted a third internet user.
