A scary video shows the moment when the WOFL Fox 35 meteorologist announces the arrival of a tornado while broadcasting live about the weather in Florida on March 10.

Brooks Garner, a meteorologist from WOFL Fox 35, based in Orlando, Florida, was in the studio doing a broadcast about tornadoes just minutes before announcing the arrival of one near the TV station building.

“Seek shelter. Everyone in the Fox 35 building, go to a safe location,” Garner warned as a camera on the building’s rooftop showed the heavy rain rapidly approaching.

“Get under the desks, everyone. Anchors, get under the desks,” he exclaimed desperately. The cameras broadcasting the tornado were completely covered by the clouds and rain.

“We just got hit by debris. We heard it on the roof. Trees, branches, who knows what,” Garner reported.

“I’ve been in this business for 25 years, and I’ve never had a tornado hit a TV studio in my career. This is a very, very serious situation,” the out-of-breath journalist said.

According to the Seminole County Fire Department, at least one house collapsed, but the two residents were unharmed.
