It looks like AFC Richmond fans can finally celebrate; according to Deadline, Warner Bros. is close to giving the green light for the production of the 4th season of “Ted Lasso,” the successful Apple TV+ series.

Sources have reported to the digital magazine that the studio has already negotiated with the original cast members Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift, and that creators and producers Jason Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt, and Juno Temple would also be involved in the project.

According to the report, before the studio confirms the fourth season, budgets still need to be approved, schedules confirmed, and therefore, production is expected to start only in early 2025.

The series, created and starring Sudeikis as the American football coach who moves to England to lead a professional football team despite knowing almost nothing about the game, premiered in August 2020 and was well-received by both critics and audiences.

The third and final season of the show concluded in May of last year, but Apple never confirmed the last episode as the show’s definitive ending; in it, Ted (Sudeikis) returns to Kansas and, by the end, is seen on a field, coaching his son’s football team.
