“[Jennie] was doing, she was calling it Pants Down Day, where she was pulling the pants of some crew members in a funny way, and some of them were getting very annoyed by it,” Doherty recalled in a conversation with her former castmate Brian Austin Green, 50, on her podcast Let’s Be Clear last Monday (4).
Doherty said she came up with the idea to reverse the situation and create Skirt Up Day. “And she always wore men’s Calvin Klein boxer briefs under her clothes. So I didn’t think it was that big of a deal. And then I did Skirt Up Day, and oh my God, she lost it, and I just wasn’t feeling like backing down,” she continued.
Green, who played David Silver on the show, recalled the argument, saying he and actor Ian Ziering had to run to intervene. “I remember a moment where there was a fight right in front of us, and Ian and I were there. And then it was us two who intervened, more or less in the middle of it, to prevent the situation from escalating.”
Later, Green said there was always tension among the women in the cast, which also included actresses Tori Spelling and Gabrielle Carteris, which he explained as a situation that is not “easy to watch.” “I remember it got very tough and competitive for all of you,” he added.
