Frankie Muniz has already been confirmed to reprise his title role, as well as Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek, who are returning as his parents, and Christopher Masterson and Justin Berfield as Malcolm’s brothers, Francis and Reese.
But according to Variety, Erik Per Sullivan, who played Dewey, Malcolm’s younger brother in the sitcom that aired from 2000 to 2006, will not be returning to his role, which will be filled by the actor from Fargo, Caleb Ellsworth-Clark.
According to the official synopsis: “Malcolm and his daughter are drawn into the family chaos when Hal and Lois demand their presence at the 40th wedding anniversary party.”
Still without a release date, the reboot of “Malcolm in the Middle” will have four episodes and will be available on Disney+.
