Piers Morgan has responded to public outcry over his controversial interview with the alleged real Martha, portrayed in “Baby Reindeer”.

Piers Morgan responded to criticism after his interview with the woman who claims to be the real-life Martha Scott. In “Baby Reindeer”, an autobiographical story written and performed by Richard Gadd, the comedian Donny Dunn has a bizarre relationship with a woman named Martha, who relentlessly pursues Donny.

To tell her side of the story, Fiona Harvey, the woman claiming to be the real-life Martha, spoke with Piers Morgan on the show “Piers Morgan Uncensored”; the interview aired last night (May 9th) and viewers took to social media to criticize the host for what they deemed his “irresponsible” and “unethical” conduct.

Many viewers shared their own guilt for watching the interview. “Part of me doesn’t want to watch, but I can’t stop,” said one. “It’s time to watch Piers Morgan conduct one of the most unethical interviews of all time,” added another.

Morgan addressed the accusations in his column in The Sun: “But if Richard Gadd feels entitled to make millions by spreading his version of the story and making very serious allegations against Fiona Harvey in the process, then she certainly has the right to respond and defend herself.”

“As for who is exploiting whom, I’ll leave that to the court of public opinion to decide.”
