The 6.4-meter vessel was carrying five explorers aboard to the coast of Newfoundland, Canada, where the Titanic wreck is located, about 3,800 meters below the surface.

Aboard the Titan were OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush (61), deep-sea explorer Paul-Henri Nargeolet (77), businessman Hamish Harding (58), businessman Shahzada Dawood (48), and his 19-year-old son Suleman.

The implosion occurred due to the intense water pressure and material failure. The entire crew perished.

The documentary is scheduled to be released on Netflix mid-year, but a confirmed release date has not yet been set.
