A contestant from MasterChef UK was eliminated in the second episode of the season after nearly poisoning the show’s judges.

Peter, a 49-year-old Scotsman, accidentally put something else in the pot instead of the ingredients he was supposed to use in his preparation, and nearly ‘poisoned the show’s judges, chefs Gregg Wallace and John Torode. When they tasted Peter’s dish, their facial expressions made it clear that something was wrong.
When Torode tasted the caramelized carrots prepared by the amateur cook, he couldn’t hide his discomfort and asked Peter about the preparation of the dish: ‘Wow.
