During the recording of a bold scene for the movie We Live In Time, Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield left the cameraman embarrassed after not hearing him say “cut”.

The movie follows the couple Tobias and Almut, played by Garfield and Pugh, as they fall in love after an unusual encounter. However, one scene attracted more attention than the others while the duo was doing the press tour for the film.

Garfield shared that he and Pugh ended up leaving the cameraman embarrassed after not hearing him shout “cut” during the recording of a particularly passionate intimate scene.

“We were doing the first take of this very intimate and passionate scene, and it’s a closed set, which means it’s just me, Florence, and the cameraman, who’s a lovely man named Stuart,” Garfield told YouTuber Josh Horowitz.

“And he’s very polite, very sweet, and kind. The director is in another room next door. And then the scene becomes passionate, and we get into it, so to speak, and go a little further than we should… it’s a sense of safety, and we kind of… move from one thing to another and let it progress and keep going.”

The actor then explained that at one point, he looked up and saw that Stuart had the camera at his side and was standing in the corner of the room facing the wall, seemingly waiting for them to stop, which left the internet in stitches.

“How [deep] into character does someone need to be for this to happen?” commented one. “This is so embarrassing, but kudos to the cameraman for being considerate!” said another. “Andrew and Florence must have gotten so involved in the scene that they completely lost track of everything around them,” reflected a third.
