Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler, posted a carousel of behind-the-scenes photos from all the different seasons of the show and admitted that “he’s still in shock.”
“We filmed for a year, and I’ll miss all my friends and characters so much. When I think about the show, I think of this first photo. A bunch of young idiots doing something they think is cool but really have no idea what’s coming.”
“I feel like we’re still those people, and I’m lucky to still be alongside them today. I hope you love this season as much as I do. I’ll see you next year,” he added.
Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, posted a series of clicks of her behind the scenes over the years, but included a video of an emotional speech on set. “And shouldn’t graduation bring relief? Like, you’re happy to leave behind the teachers and classmates — not me, I’m not even close to leaving you guys,” she says in the clip.
Sadie Sink, who plays Max Mayfield on the show and joined the cast in the second season, became one of the most iconic characters of the series with the scene where she escapes the villain Vecna to the sound of Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush, which even reached the top of the Billboard charts when the fourth season was released in 2022.
“This show, character, and every person involved made me who I am. It gave me the most amazing childhood. It brought me my best friends. Saying goodbye is so painful, but I’m leaving with memories and love that will last a lifetime. I’m forever grateful,” wrote Sadie.
Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers, also accessed Instagram and shared photos from the set. “As I close this chapter of my life, I can’t help but be forever grateful for the incredible people I’ve met and the valuable life/career lessons I’ve learned throughout this decade-long journey.”
Although filming has already concluded, the release date for the next season has not yet been confirmed by the streaming giant, but fan anticipation is growing every day.
