Jennifer Love Hewitt reminisced about her role on the show Boy Meets World and admitted she’s afraid her daughter will see the kissing scene between her and actor Will Friedle.
He played Cory‘s brother, portrayed by Ben Savage, on the show. Friedle and Hewitt were dating in real life when she appeared in the season 5 episode “And Then There Was Shawn.”
“It was so much fun… I loved Will. He was like the best boyfriend ever. He was so sweet. And that cast was amazing,” she said in an interview with Fox News Digital, before recalling the kissing scene between them.
“I was really nervous because… it was a comedy, and I really hadn’t done much… I just wanted to make him proud. I didn’t want to get fired and wanted to do a good job,” the actress admitted.
She then paused to reflect on what her daughter might think of the scene. “My daughter is watching Girl Meets World now, and I’m always scared she’ll want to watch Boy Meets World… and then [see us] making out on the shelf, and she’s going to be like, ‘Mom, that’s embarrassing.’”
On the podcast Pod Meets World, Friedle called the scene between them “intense” and “uncomfortable.” “I don’t remember us going that far… It was seriously like, ‘Wow, this is uncomfortable.’ It was super intense,” he said.
“That was the most intense making out we did in seven years on the show, right there in the hallway. Then kissing her neck while she tried to talk and everything, like we hadn’t even said our names yet. It was intense.”
